Life saver. For some reason baby doesn't sleep in crib during day-time and this has come to rescue several times. Love the features that the baby also discovers as they grow up: 1. Swing in different speed and directions. When we use swing mode we make sure we are in the room with the baby as once or twice I have seen baby get uncomfortable esp if they have to burp and does a weird cough and we pick the baby up right away. I would strongly recommend to be around baby in this mode even in one speed. Also we can change the direction so that we can see the baby where we are - 3 options here. 2. White noise, daytime and nighttime music. I was using white noise for a while and this didn't soothe the baby one day and I thought we are done with this, but I switched to another music and voila, baby was asleep in seconds. 3. Mirror in the dome - mine loves to babble to that friendly baby in that mirror around 3 months old - ha ha - keep them entertained when awake 4. Rotation of the dome. Area of improvement: Timer for white noise- thebaby often woke up right after white noise ends due to regular sound around house especially when baby just fell asleep after rocking for a while and music suddenly stops - like that scene in Harry Potter movie when the music stops- "wait does it seem quiet around here" and we run to switch it back on.

This is such a great swing! It's super cute and matches our daughter's room, which is what drew me to it in the first place, but I'm so glad we decided to go with this swing over others! It is awesome! There's different sound options and different swing speeds so that you can make it exactly what you need. It was great when I needed to get something done. I could set the baby down and she would be happy for hours! If she started to get antsy, we could just change the direction of the swing and it would be like a whole new experience for her. It was the perfect way to keep her occupied. She's four months now and not that into the swing anymore, but for the first few months it was a life saver!

I love this swing my husband and I bought it for our daughter and she’s almost 3 months old. Where has this swing been all of our lives we really do love the swing. It is truly a lifesaver. My daughter loves it too! I can do stuff around the house and she’s safe in the swing peacefully sleep or just relaxing. I know some other customers have complained about the loud clicking or loud noise I don’t hear that loud noise or clicking all I hear is music so maybe the music drowned it out and is very very peaceful and relaxing. Awesome 👏 purchase and a great price thanks a million Amazon.

The snugabunny swing worked great! It put our daughter right to sleep and she always looked so comfortable in it! The fabric is easy to wash, the buckles are removable (because they nothing is safe from the average blowout), and it was sturdy. The only thing I would change is that the base is so wide. This is not a swing for a small apartment. It takes up a lot of floor space. I loved that it plugged into the wall and could run with batteries. You never know when the power will go out! The music was relaxing, although I was impressed with how loud it could go! Overall, a great swing. I did notice it does creak, but a little WD40 took care of that, I am sure with any swing that has a metal base there is a possibility of squeaking. I plan to use this with our next kid. The little mirror on the underside really kept those 3 month old smiles coming. Babies love to look at mirrors, and it helps them learn to socialize. It was a great move to put that mirror on, because not many swings have them. I also loved that you can swivel the seat around to have your baby swing in other directions. I never used that option, but it is nice that it is there. Just make sure that you have a lot of floor space to use this. I also thought that storage was kind of silly too. It is nice that the legs unsnap, but it is still taking up a lot of room in my garage. If you are looking for a compact, smaller swing, this is not the swing for you.

My mom told us to get a swing for the baby. She said it helped her out a lot. We ordered this one and it is great! It was easy to put up. Our daughter loves it as well. We’ve been using it for 6 months and it still works great. It plays different songs (daytime music, nighttime music, and even had just birds noises). The rocking helps the baby sleep better and longer. We have her in her bed at night but she takes a nap in the swing often. My wife can cook dinner or do various other chores while the baby swings and sleeps. The baby doesn’t wake up as easily. When we want our baby to wake up we turn off the swing and let her wake up on her own. If we leave it on she sleeps for a really long time. We haven’t changed the position yet we just have it laying down since we just use it for sleeping. It has straps for active babies and to keep them safer. We also like how it can swing in different directions. We mostly leave it side to side. We recommend it to anyone who has a baby!

I am going to stand up for this product. The reviews I have read are ridiculous indeed. This swing is a must for any new parent. This swing has literally saved my sanity with a colicy newborn. It works beautifully even after 8 months of daily use. The motor is not, I repeat, NOT loud. Sure you do here some sound, but not annoying and baby doesn't notice or care. The swing does not swing off center if the legs are expanded correctly. The swing only clicks when swinging if you stupidly try to change the direction of the swinging seat while the swing is in motion. The click will cease once turned off and on again. The swing is not cheaply made, quite the opposite. This swing is soft, comfortable and generally very well made. New parents are typically scared of the fast swinging of swings. This swing does swing well, a little fast on the lowest setting. Guess what new parents, the faster the better. Babies love faster, not slower. My daughter would only quiet down with the fastest setting right at birth. She was asleep in about 20 seconds with this miracle swing. Well, there you have it. This lovely product has saved me from potentially countless sleepless nights. Wonderful product, don't hesitate, just buy it and set it up before you give birth.

My husband and I purchased the snugabear swing for our son after reading the excellent reviews and we could not be happier with our purchase! I posted a very detailed review on the snugabear swing, but had to leave a five star rating here too, as this swing series is just THAT good. Hands down, this fisher price swing series is the BEST purchase we have made as new parents. Other parents have jokingly called this swing the 'nanny' and they couldnt be more right! This swing is the only thing that has allowed me to break away long enough to go pee! My son loves it! He falls asleep quickly and stays asleep longer, allowing me to get more done during his naps. When he is wide awake, he enjoys watching his reflection in the dome. We love this swing series so much that we purchased this one, the moonlight meadow, for my best friend who is due in may! I just know she will love it and so will you!

My hub and I were minimalist parents, or so we thought. When our daughter was born, our minimalist aspirations went out the window as we realized we needed to still have a life too. This machine takes up a lot of space in our already pretty crowded living environment so we were highly skeptical after putting it together because it was just this huge thing invading what little space we had left in our living room after the playpen, bassinet, seating chairs, etc. etc. But it was getting more and more difficult after my hub returned to work for me to manage on my own as I have taken a few months off to stay home with her and she gets fussy and needs constant attention that as a new parent, it's hard to deny her. Online reviews dubbed this as the "babysitter," though for me it was a last ditch attempt to try to get some in between time to work on house chores and relax a little. It did not work right away with her. The first ten times (5 day duration) she was put in, she cried and fussed until we picked her up. Eventually, after a week or so of trying to place her in there- she fully got "used" to it and started to enjoy her experience. She was three weeks old the first time we put her in there. Also, it doesn't always babysit her for long periods of time, the average time typically is about 20 minutes while the longest time she lasts is usually around 2.5 hours. She is most comfortable at the lowest two levels, with music helping if she is awake. The overall effect for her is that it helps soothe her for enough time for me to put a load in the washer, or make a meal and eat it. She might cry the first five minutes, but unless there is something wrong- she will stop crying and either go to sleep or self soothe until I can pick her up.

By the time our baby was 2 months old, she has been very happy using this swing. In fact, we found out she could laugh when she sat on the swing and discovered a mirror, and was smiling at the person she saw in the mirror. It looks and has been sturdy. great that we can turn off the music when she sleeps and it is not loud as it rocks. Our baby is spoilt and likes being held all the time, there are enough hands taking turns and competing to hold her, but she actually enjoys her alone time on her play swing. The rotating butterflies keep her captivated attempting to follow or study. Of all the things I have bought for my kids, this time we got it right with the 7th child!

My wife and I have four children, so we've gone through a lot of swings over the years. We occasionally use the swing to entertain a baby so we can cook, clean or grab a shower. More often we use these for the "mid-day nap" and nights where the baby has a cold (the seat keeps them upright which can help prevent ear infections, minimize post-nasal drip and the swinging motion can help settle them if a cough wakes them up). For this, I've found that these large Fisher-Price makes are the best swings. They are the most comfortable and they last for years. Let me tell you about the things that matter when it comes to baby naps in these swings: 1. You can plug it in so you don't have issues with batteries failing in the middle of nap time. 2. It's soft and comfortable. 3. It swings from side-to-side. 4. It's safe. Let me tell you what doesn't matter: 1. It plays music and has other sound options (they don't help - get a nice CD of waves or rain instead). 2. It has toys for babies to look at (I just take them off. I find they agitate little babies and distract older ones). 3. What the "theme" is: babies don't care. Some of these swings (not this model) have a set of toys that snap across their lap with hard pieces of plastic on the side of the swing. These toys are fine for an awake baby, but for naps it's a distraction and the hard plastic piece that holds it in place makes it hard to tap the swing on the side. Tapping on the side of the swing rhythmically is a *great* way to put a wired baby to sleep (you can even just hold your hand so that the swing lightly bumps it). That very soft "jolt" provided by your hand sooths a baby the same way that bouncing them does. So I don't want a piece of plastic there, I want padding which is more comfortable for me to tap. This might seem trivial, until that day when you are exhausted, and all you want in the entire universe is for your baby to take a nap. So this model is perfect as far as that goes. I also like that this version doesn't have the old "dial" for setting the swing speed. Those were a little noisy to turn and could wake a napping baby. When you are sleep deprived yourself, anything that helps a baby sleep is gold. So get this model (or one like it, Fisher Price makes a bunch of them) instead, which has nice quiet buttons. Other things I like: the covers come off fairly easily and you can machine wash them (though the swings with the netting in back like this one add a minor amount of hassle - you will need to use a gentle cycle). The cord is well routed: your baby won't be able to grab it and even if they did, the exposed cord is short and has a quick disconnect that can help prevent accidental choking. They are reasonably portable. There is a bar in back that you flip up to enable the legs to fold together so you can fit it through doors. Once you get it to your new location it snaps easily into place. It's a little awkward to move but it's not heavy. Make sure you shop around the different models Fisher-Price has out: these swings change very little if at all over time. Mostly they just change the theme, so you can save money by buying last season's model. They also sometimes charge more for a more popular theme. Remember: the baby doesn't care. Overall these are the best swings on the market, and I highly recommend having one.
