Đun nóng 100 ml dầu ăn, cho trứng đã bóc vỏ vào chiên vàng đều rồi vớt ra chén.
Cho 100 ml nước cốt me, 1 muỗng canh nước tương, 2 muỗng cà phê đường, 1/2 muỗng cà phê ớt băm vào chén, trộn đều.
Phi thơm 1 muỗng cà phê gừng băm với 10 ml dầu ăn rồi cho hỗn hợp nước cốt me vào.
Đến khi nước sốt sôi trở lại thì cho trứng vào, đun nhỏ lửa khoảng 15 phút cho trứng ngấm gia vị rồi cho nước bột sắn dây, 1 muỗng cà phê bột ngọt vào, khuấy đều rồi tắt bếp.
Bày trí ra tô, trang trí thêm húng lũi rửa sạch rồi thưởng thức.
